In essence, Happenr is a search engine, much like the search applications you’ve grown familiar with for finding stuff on the internet. The main difference is that Happenr is a vertical search engine, which means it indexes a specific set of data rather than a wide range of unrelated resources. In the case of Happenr, what you’re able to search is tied to event calendar information, focused on quality rather than quantity. Happenr aims to enable anyone to find out what’s going on in their neighborhood, their holiday destinations, etc. within a certain timeframe and/or a certain event category.

How does Happenr keep track of all this event information?

Happenr uses a unique patent-pending technology developed by its parent company Oxynade, which allows for a massive amount of data resources to be automatically crawled, analyzed and structured. Happenr currently provides hyper-local event information from Germany, Ireland and Europe’s top destination cities. We’re continuously adding new cities and countries, and in time we aim to provide hyper-local event calendar information from around the globe. Currently, we focus on Europe, but our automation technology allows us to expand into other continents quickly.
